The first Lebanese woman, Mrs. Neamat Aoun, made a field visit to Akkar Governorate. The first stop was at the “Lycée Abdullah Al-Rassi” school in Halba, where the students presented a number of topics and projects they worked on to embody the concept of citizenship, including equality between men and women, recycling in all fields, not just waste, and providing support to farmers through technological development. The second stop was at Al-Baraa High School in Fnaideq, which is located within the “Al-Baraa Educational Complex,” which includes many academic and vocational departments. The First Lady met with students in various departments and levels of study, where they presented their projects inspired by the high school approach, which works to strengthen the competence of young people and encourage them not to drop out of school and enter the labor market, which contributes to enhancing the development of the region. They also presented a series of projects under the title “Lebanon as we dream of it,” including a project to develop the “Rene Moawad” Airport in Klayaat. Mrs. Aoun gave a speech in which she called on the students to strengthen the concept of citizenship, explained to them the importance of this project, and encouraged them to continue their educational attainment to achieve their dreams in the future and contribute to the progress of Lebanon. Students in Halba and Fnaideq presented a shield of appreciation to the First Lady, thanking her for her initiative and visit.
